—— Beauty should be seen. Experienced. Understood. By everyone.
At Lancôme-USA, we believe that luxury is not exclusive by design. The rose is for everyone. The glow is for everyone. And the website that delivers them should be, too.
We are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone—and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make our site as welcoming as our products.
🌍 Our Commitment
We strive to make lancoma-usa.com accessible to all users, regardless of technology or ability.
We are actively working to conform with WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), the international standard that ensures digital content is Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust. This is the same standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and recognized as best practice worldwide .
We also align with EN 301 549, the harmonized European standard for digital accessibility .
Accessibility is not a one-time project for us. It is an ongoing practice—reviewed, tested, and improved continuously.
🧴 What We’re Doing
We have implemented—and continue to refine—the following measures to support an accessible experience for all:
🔹 Keyboard Navigation
Our site is fully operable by keyboard alone. You can navigate, select products, add to cart, and check out using Tab, Enter, and arrow keys—no mouse required .
🔹 Screen Reader Compatibility
We use semantic HTML, proper heading structure, and ARIA labels to ensure compatibility with popular screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver). Buttons, links, and form fields are labeled meaningfully—so “Add to Cart” is announced as exactly that .
🔹 Color Contrast & Readability
All text meets or exceeds WCAG contrast requirements (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). We never place text over busy imagery without sufficient contrast, and we avoid low-contrast color combinations that are difficult to read .
🔹 Text Resizing & Zoom
Our layout remains functional and readable at up to 200% zoom. Text does not overflow, buttons do not disappear, and the shopping experience does not break .
🔹 Alternative Text for Images
All product images, lifestyle photography, and informational graphics include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers so they don’t create unnecessary noise .
🔹 Forms & Error Identification
Checkout forms include clear labels, visible focus states, and descriptive error messages. If you miss a field, we tell you which one—and how to fix it .
🔹 No Seizure-Inducing Content
We do not use flashing or strobing animations. Our site is designed to be calm, not chaotic .
🔹 Consistent Navigation
Menus, buttons, and layout patterns behave predictably across the site. You don’t have to relearn how to shop on every page .
📉 Known Limitations
We are working to make every corner of our site fully accessible. However, like many e-commerce brands, we are in progress—not perfection.
Some areas we are actively improving:
Older product images may lack alt text (we’re auditing and updating them)
Certain third‑party widgets (reviews, chat) are being reviewed for full screen‑reader compatibility
Legacy PDP pages are being migrated to our updated accessible templates
If you encounter any issue, please tell us. We take every report seriously.

📅 Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is never “done.” It is maintained.
We conduct:
Automated accessibility scans on a weekly basis
Manual keyboard and screen-reader testing before every major site update
Annual third-party audits to benchmark our progress against WCAG 2.1 AA and EN 301 549
Our product, design, and engineering teams receive regular training on inclusive design practices . We build with accessibility in mind—not as an afterthought, but as a feature.
⚖️ Compliance Status
lancoma-usa.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA .
“Partially conformant” means we meet most success criteria, and we are actively closing the gaps. We are committed to full conformance and review our progress quarterly.
